Containing a number of rarely seen gems, we have a great vintage pennant collection totaling 15 from the 1960s/70s, with examples present from the NHL, WHA, IHL, CHL, CPHL (CHL) and WHL. Highlighted by rare 1960s examples from the San Diego Gulls (WHL), Tulsa Oilers (CPHL) and Omaha Knights (CHL), there are five WHA pennants with Minnesota, Vancouver, San Diego, Houston and Phoenix, four 1970s NHL pennants with Atlanta, Cleveland, California and Kansas City, and a single IHL pennant for the Toledo Goaldiggers. As an added bonus, we also have a 1983 team-signed Team Canada pennant with signatures from Dionne, Goulet, Gartner, Propp and others, along with a circa 1993-94 team-signed Bruins pennant, with signatures from Ray Bourque, Cam Neely, Dave Reid, Daniel Marois, John Blue and others.
Each pennant is full size at approx 30” give or take, with just the Knight example slightly smaller at 23”. The Team Canada pennant has been signed in red ink, with some fading to the signatures taking place, with the Bruins pennant featuring blue marker signatures with no issues. The majority of the collection remains in wonderful condition with just light handling wear, with the following exceptions: The Knights pennant has the tassels tied (one is short) with some fading to the screened-on letters, the Gulls pennant has some wrinkling to the left of the team emblem, The Oilers pennant has a few creases along with a pin hole and fading, the Minnesota pennant has some staining over the reverse, the Toledo pennant has a few creases and pinholes, and the Cleveland pennant has a bent tip.
