Spanning over four decades of competitive hockey, we have a neat NHL and minor league program collection of 18, ranging from the 1920s to 1960s, along with a trio of vintage hockey guides. Highlighted by a Harvard vs Boston University program from 1927-28, there are eight NHL programs, with four Leafs examples for games against Detroit, with three from the 1941-42 season, along with a single specimen from 1946-47. This is followed by a pair of Black Hawks programs, one from 1932-33 (vs Detroit) and one from 1947-48, with a second pair of Chicago playoff programs, with one from 1963-64 for a match against Detroit during the first round, and one from 1967-68 for a match against New York during the first round. Some of the minor league programs include examples for the 1938-39 Springfield Indians, 1935-36 Rhode Island Reds (Toe Blake cover), 1933-34 Quebec Beavers, 1934-35 New Haven Eagles and 1935-36 Cleveland Falcons.
The remaining programs include examples for the Sorel Black Hawks (circa 1970), Quebec Aces (1958-59) and Buffalo Bisons (late-1940s, low grade). There is also a first-year Madison Square Garden program from 1925-26 (minor league game), with the guides to include the 1958-59 edition of Stroh’s How to Watch Hockey, L’Epopee des Canadiens from 1949 with Vezina/Richard cover and The Stanley Cup record and statistic book from 1972. The programs vary in condition, with most of the older examples showing moderate to heavier handling wear, with a pair of the Leafs 1941-42 programs having ripped/detached covers. The Bisons and 1947-48 Chicago programs are also in low grade, with torn/detached covers and heavy wear.
