A treasure trove for Beantown supporters, we have a great collection of vintage Boston Bruins items, with a number of desirable stand-alone specimens included. First, we have a 1933 Eddie Shore dinner program signed by the iconic star, followed by a trio of team photos, with examples for 1929-30 (10” x 12”), 1934-35 (CCM Green Border photo 8 ½” x 11”) and 1937-38 (9 ½” x 12 ½”). Next, we have three Boston Garden Bruins programs, with one from 1932-33 (Tiny Thompson cover), one from 1935-36 and one from the early-1950s, followed by a set of 16 Bruins team-issued player photos from the mid-1950s with Terry Sawchuk (accompanied by the original mailing envelope), a set of 10 Bruins “All Time All Stars” team-issued photos with the original mailing envelope, a 1970 Bruins oversized pinback with 1970 Stanley Cup ribbon, 1971 Boston Garden All-Star Game press kit and more!
The team photos display beautifully, with just a bit of wear to the matte of the 1929-30 photo, with the team-issued photo sets showing just very light handling wear and no issues. The Eddie Shore dinner program (6 ½” x 9”) shows moderate handling wear with a bit of very minor staining, with the black ink signature displaying especially well, with the yellow ribbon broken but intact. The 1971 Boston Garden All-Star Game press kit shows some mildew staining over the top section, with the 1970 Stanley Cup ribbon bent/folded but displaying well. The three Boston Garden programs all show wear, with minor water damage to the 1935-36 program, with the 1950s example having the covers torn along the spine and all interior pages loose.
