Playing out of the Frank Crane Arena, the Nanaimo Clippers have been a member of the BCHL since their founding in 1972-73, with alumni to include Gary Lupul, Mel Bridgman and Barry Pederson. We have 5 Clippers jerseys from the late-1980s to early-2000s offered, with a trio of rarely-seen third jerseys. First, we have a late-1980s/early-1990s jersey with “4” over the reverse and tackle twill letters, followed by a 1993-95 jersey worn by Leo Islam, with a circular team crest with embroidered detailing along with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with no nameplate over the reverse. The third jersey was worn by Colin Kobza in 2000-01, with the “third” jersey only originally available at the “shirts off their back night” at season’s end, with tackle twill team crest and numbers, along with a McDonald’s sponsorship patch. Kobza has signed the upper reverse, with the signature quite faded. The fourth jersey is also a “third” jersey, with this example with large “C” crest and tackle twill numbers worn by Blair Riley during the 2004-05 season, with this jersey also available only at the “shirts off their back night” at season’s end. Riley has signed the reverse, and the signature displays well. The final jersey was worn by Kevin Noble in 2007-08, with the “third” jersey featuring tackle twill letters and numbers, with alternate patches over each shoulder. Each jersey shows varying degrees of game use, with no unsightly wear or damage.
