Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Selected 5th overall at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Phil Kessel is a veteran of nearly 1,000 NHL contests, with the Wisconsin native making three All-Star Game appearances thus far along with winning a pair of Stanley Cup championships. From his days in Ontario, we have a Toronto Maple Leafs third jersey worn by the star in 2011-12, his third season with the club. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a vintage-style felt team crest with embroidered detailing, “8” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Kessel” over the affixed nameplate. The team patch is also present, situated over the inside hem.
Exhibiting light wear, there are a few random marks present, with a small hole over the upper left sleeve. There is also some pilling to the interior, with a bit of sweat staining around the collar.
