Mario Tremblay enjoyed first round selection at the 1974 NHL Entry Draft, with the Montreal Canadiens selecting the QMJHL star 12th overall. Tremblay would play his entire career for the Habs, with five Stanley Cup championships won as a player. From the especially successful season of 1982-83 that witnessed the Alma native score 67 points including 30 goals, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by Tremblay in 1982-83. A Maska label is affixed to the collar, with the sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 48. Styled with the world famous Montreal “CH” team crest, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in blue-over-red tackle twill, with “Tremblay” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. An additional embroidered Maska label sits over the reverse hem, with the garter-style fight strap intact.
Exhibiting heavy game use, there are washed-out marks and pilling over the lower front and sleeves, with some red paint transfer over each lower sleeve. Team repairs are also numerous, with 8 over the front including 2 along the team crest, 18 over the left sleeve, 14 on the right and 11 on the reverse, including a trio over the reverse numbers.
