Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A low grade Parkhurst bonanza is offered here to those not concerned with condition, with complete sets from 1954-55 (100) and '58-59 (50) nicer than the mostly hammered cards from the other two issues. A Johnny Bower rookie (G) from '54-55 is free of real unsightly flaws, with most of the other keys, including Howe (multiple pinholes), P or F. A few crease-free VG+ or better '58-59s are present, but again, big names are in the P-F-G range, with two punch holes affecting the Jacques Plante. A positive is the mostly problem-free backs of the first two ensembles. The same can be said about a complete 50-card set from '60-61, however heavier and more creases show up, along with other intermittent major flaws, including two tack holes in the Plante. Finishing chronologically and condition-wise is a '61-62 near set (58/61), with a Keon RC one of the missing three and the entire lot's key cards shown on our website. This item is relisted from our Spring 2019 auction as Brian Battles from AL (USA) failed to honor his bid.
