Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Playing in Germany for a pair of seasons, Mike Vannelli first attended the University of Minnesota for four years, from 2003 to 2007. From his senior season in the WCHS, we have a Golden Gophers home jersey worn by the Mendota native in 2006-07. A Pro label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered WCHA crest over the left breast. Styled with the school’s large trademark “M” in burgundy and gold layered tackle twill, “15” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Vannelli” across the affixed nameplate in single burgundy twill. Game wear consists of a few washed-out and random marks, with board burns with a small resulting hole near the left elbow. There is also some pilling beneath the fight strap and on the lower front, with a pair of backed team repairs beneath the team crest.
