Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A trio of vintage documents all pertaining to the Toronto Maple Leafs from the 1930s/40s are offered, with each signed by legendary owner and HOF Builder Conn Smythe. Included, we have a 1949 Standard Assignment Agreement between Toronto and the Pittsburgh Hockey Club for the services of John Arundel, a 1935 NHL Agreement for Assignment between Toronto and the Syracuse Hockey Club for the contract of Norman Mann, and a Memorandum of Agreement between Leonard Trushinski and the Leafs, with the sum of $250.00 mentioned regarding a contract extention. Each document feature’s an attractive dark ink Smythe signature with no issues, with just light handling wear, toning and a few minor creases to the documents themselves. Inducted into the HOF in 1958, Smythe would pass in 1980, at the age of 85.
