Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in 1997, Wyatt Smith would spend time with five different NHL clubs after attending the University of Minnesota for four seasons, from 1995 to 1999. From his junior year, we have a Golden Gophers jersey worn by the Thief River Falls native, in 1997-98. A Champion label with “XL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with WCHA and Champion patches over the left breast. Styled with the school’s trademark large “M” over the chest in layered burgundy, black and gold tackle twill, “17” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Smith” across the affixed nameplate in single burgundy twill. Game wear consists of a few scuff marks over and near the team crest, with a few random dark marks over the sleeves and reverse. There is also pilling throughout, with the threading loose in a number of spots over the front band.
