Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Spending a season with the St Paul Vulcans in the USHL in 1991-92, defenceman Charlie Wasley then attended the University of Minnesota for four seasons, from 1992 to 1996. Highly sought by collectors and a rare single-year style, we have a Golden Gophers Turn Back the Clock “Bumble Bee” style jersey worn by the Minneapolis native in 1993-94, his sophomore season. A Steichens label with “XXL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered WCHA crest over the left breast. With a nod to sweaters worn by the school over half a century earlier, “Minnesota” appears arching over the chest in individual burgundy-over-gold tackle twill letters, with “6” over the sleeves and verso in matching material. Showing light game use, there are a few random marks present including a small stick mark over the lower front, with a team repair over the upper striping band on the right sleeve. An LOA will accompany.
