Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Representing the US at the World Juniors, Jim O’Brien is currently with the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, with his NHL career consisting of 77 games played for the Ottawa Senators (73) and New Jersey Devils (4). From his lone season in the NCAA with the University of Minnesota, we have a Golden Gophers road jersey worn by the Maplewood native in 2006-07. A Pro label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered WCHA crest over the left breast. Styled with the school’s large trademark “M” in burgundy, white and gold layered tackle twill, “18” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “O’Brien” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Game wear consists of board burns over each sleeve, with a few large dark marks near the left elbow. There is also a pair of small holes over the lower left sleeve.
