Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The last time two Canadian team battled for Lord Stanley’s hardware, the 1989 finals featured a strong Montreal Canadiens squad taking on the Presidents’ Trophy-winner Calgary Flames, with the latter taking the series 4 games to 2 to claim their sole Stanley Cup championship. We have a wristwatch that was presented to Flames’ administration employee Pat Halls. A Seiko quartz water resistant model, a Flames logo sits centered over the gold-coloured dial with “1989”, with “Stanley Cup” above and “Champions” below. The reverse has been engraved "P Halls 5-25-89", with this the date of the Cup-clinching game of the finals. The watch displays well with a bit of wear over the glass, with a few marks and blemishes to the band.
