Named best goaltender at the European Junior Championships in 1976 and 1977, Pelle Lindbergh was also selected for the Swedish World All-Star Team on three separate occasions, with a bronze medal won at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid. Originating from the family of Pelle Lindbergh and originally obtained by Classic Auctions along with other Lindbergh items, we have a Team Sweden jersey worn by Lindbergh that has been attributed to the 1978 World Juniors, a tournament that witnessed the Swede earn MVP honours. A rolled Sportjohan label is affixed to the collar, with the jersey measuring-out to approx a size 46. Styled with a rubberized Tre Kronor crest and numbers, screened-on advertising appears over the sleeves and upper reverse. The mesh tie-neck sweater also feature’s knit shoulder, sleeve, waist and cuff bands.
There is a bit of minor discolouration over the team crest, with team repairs over the front, reverse and left sleeve.
