Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
First appearing at the 1997 World Championships where he netted two points as an 18-year-old, Marian Hossa made his Olympic debut at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City, where he accumulated six points in just a pair of games for Slovakia. We have a Team Europe jersey from the 2016 World Cup of Hockey that was worn by Hossa during the 2nd and 3rd periods of the Sept 17 match vs Team USA. An Adidas sizing band sits along the collar, with “WCH” and Adidas logos residing over the front and back necklines. Styled with an attractive Team Europe team crest, the sweater has been accented with ventilated tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with a Slovak flag patch over the left shoulder and World Cup crest just above it. A hologram from Fanatics Authentic numbered "ZZ0039007" has also been affixed to the fight strap below the handwritten “3”, with a Fanatics patch also visible just above the inside hem.
Game-wear is light, with just a few fabric pulls over each sleeve, along with a few faint marks over the team crest.
