A Lady Byng winner with St. Louis in 2000 and a participant in three Olympic Games, Pavol Demitra sadly lost his life in the Sept 7, 2011, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl airplane crash that shocked the hockey world. We have a 1996 Team Slovakia World Cup jersey worn by Demitra, with Pavol playing in each of Slovakia's three round robin games, with white jerseys worn in each. A Nike label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a Slovakia team crest placed over the screened name. “26” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with the 1996 WCOH patch over the left shoulder. Exhibiting light wear which includes dark marks over the lower front and left sleeve, there is also some minor blue paint transfer near the left elbow. A Nike inventory bar code resides on the inside hem, with a letter from the NHL to accompany.
