Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The oldest player to score at the World Championships, Jaromir Jagr first represented the Czech Republic in 1989, with gold medals won at a pair of World Championships along with the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano. We have a Team Czech Republic jersey worn by the timeless superstar at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. An IIHF tag sits beneath a Nike label with “58” sizing, with an IIHF crest over the reverse hem. Styled with an attractive Czech shield crest, “68” appears over the sleeves and verso, with the 2004 World Cup crest above the left breast and the “21” Ivan Hlinka memorial patch beneath it. There is also a Nike bar code heat-pressed onto the inside hem.
Dark marks are present over the lower front and sleeves including a large stick mark beneath the team crest, with a few additional marks along with a bit of red paint transfer over the lower reverse. Getty Image #53267929 from Sept 11, 2004, appears to be showing the small black mark on the right elbow, but the photo is not high resolution enough to call a definitive photo-match.
