The Washington Capital’s all-time franchise leader for assists, Nicklas Backstrom has represented his nation numerous times on the international scale, with appearances made at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. We have a Swedish national team jersey worn by the superstar during the 2005-06 Eurohockey tour. A Reebok label sits above a sewn-down “56” size tag, with advertising patches over the nameplate, shoulders and lower reverse. Featuring the three crown design team crest administered in layered white and gold tackle twill, “19” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the Swedish Ice Hockey Association patch beneath the left shoulder.
Light to moderate use is visible, with a few random marks present along with board burns over each sleeve. The jersey was worn in the April 26th 2006 game between Sweden and the Czech Republic held in Stockholm as part of the Eurohockey Tour’s LG Hockey Games tournament. We should also note that according to our consignor the jersey dates from 2005-06 due to the fact that Sweden only wore Reebok jerseys with white Svenska Spel patches on the sleeves, the Hemma patch above the back numbers and the DnBNOR patch below the back numbers that season. Addendum; the jersey was only worn in the April 26th 2006, game between Sweden and the Czech Republic held in Stockholm as part of the Eurohockey Tour’s LG Hockey Games tournament. The Swedes wore their yellow jerseys in the four other games originally listed in the description.
