Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A member of the famous “Miracle on Ice” Team USA squad, Neal Broten appeared in over 1,000 NHL contests, with additional international appearances made for his country at the Canada Cup and World Championships. We have a photo-matched Team USA jersey worn by the 1995 Stanley Cup champion at the 1984 Canada Cup, with jerseys from this tournament somewhat harder to locate. Void of any labeling along the collar, the jersey measure’s out to roughly a size 50. Featuring a USA team crest with embroidered detailing, “8” appears over the sleeves and verso in patriotic red, white and blue tackle twill, with a slightly detached CCM patch over the lower hem. Exhibiting light use which includes dark marks over each sleeve and a small slit near the team crest, the jersey is ready to be displayed and enjoyed.
A trio of included numeric images have been used for the photo-matches, with the first matched to the faint black mark at the left of the "8" on the left sleeve, while the second is matched to the pair of diagonal black marks on the lower left sleeve. The final image has been matched to the big long black mark at the right of the "8" on the left sleeve.
