Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A longtime television colour commentator for the Los Angeles Kings, we have a Kings jersey worn by Jim Fox during the 1985-86 NHL season, his sixth in California, where he registered 31 points in just 39 contests. A CCM label is affixed to the collar along with a “85 04” born-on date tag, with the vintage sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 50, with both CCM and Adidas embroidered crests over the lower reverse hem. Featuring the attractive Kings’ team crest with embroidered detailing that saw use until 1988, “19” appears over the sleeves and verso, with “Fox” across the affixed nameplate in single purple twill.
A few fabric pulls and scuff marks are visible over the lower front along with a single diminutive team repair, with board burns and additional scuffs over each sleeve, along with a second repair near the right elbow. We should also note that the original fight strap was cut and removed at the base, with a second fight strap affixed adjacently.
