Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
From his lone season in the WHL where he scored 62 points in 55 games along with an additional 15 scored in 15 playoff contests, we have a Kelowna Rockets jersey worn by Chuck Kobasew, in 2001-02. Nike and Pro Player labels with “56” sizing grace the collar, with embroidered Nike and CHL crests over the lower hem. Styled with a multi-coloured and textured team crest, “19” appears over the sleeves and verso in red, teal and black layered tackle twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder along with a WHL crest just above the right breast. Showing evidence of a former shorter nameplate, the jersey was most likely worn by Paul Hurd as well, in 2000-01. Heavy use is exhibited, with a ton of dark marks over the front, reverse and sleeves, with additional marks that travel through the nameplate showing that the jersey was worn with this current nameplate, with burns also visible over each sleeve along with small resulting holes near each elbow section.
