Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A member of the AHL’s All-Rookie Team in 1998-99, netminder Robert Esche played in parts of eight NHL seasons, with his time evenly split between Phoenix and Philadelphia. We have a Flyers’ jersey worn by the 2004 Pelle Lindbergh Memorial-winner in the 2002-03 preseason, during his first of four seasons in the City of Brotherly Love. CCM “Goalie Style” labeling sits along the collar with a size “58” fly tag, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the classic Flyers winged-P team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Esche” across the nameplate in single black twill. Game-use includes a dark mark beneath the team crest, with the jersey otherwise showing just light wear. A patch from MeiGray numbered “A05118” sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the garment is a "White Preseason” example.
