Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The highest paid active player in baseball in 1961 while he and Roger Maris chased the Babe’s seemingly unreachable milestone, Mickey Mantle would earn his top career pay in 1963, taking home $100,000 (just over $800,000 in 2019 dollars). From that heavy earning season, we have Mantle’s 1963 Topps card, with this example encapsulated and graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Somewhat off-center left-to-right and even more so top-to-bottom, the card displays well for the assigned grade, with expected corner wear, with a few small blemishes to the PSA holder to note.
