Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Advancing to the Eastern Conference final during the 2016-17 Stanley Cup playoffs, the Ottawa Senators would face the current and eventual Cup-winner Pittsburgh Penguins, with the boys representing the Canadian capital losing in double overtime in the seventh game. We have an original painting on canvas of the Senators, executed by renowned artist Murray Henderson. A charitable organization supporter and noteworthy for his sports representations, Henderson’s works are accounted for in a number of private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe. At approx. 22” x 42”, the scene is one of epic jubilation, as the victorious Senators clear the bench, with superstar Erik Karlsson wonderfully depicted with arms-up in celebration. With no condition issues for the original work, Murray has signed along the bottom right in red, with the painting to be shipped rolled.
