Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead. From a season that saw the Habs celebrate iconic legend Jean Beliveau, we have home and away Canadiens jerseys that were issued to and prepared for Daniel Carr’s (home) and Bryan Allen’s (away) use during the 204-15 NHL season. Each jersey features size tagging along the collar (56-Carr/58+Allen), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with each respective player’s name across the nameplate in single twill. Each jersey also sports the Jean Beliveau memorial patch over the right breast. Issued but never worn, the jerseys remain in gorgeous condition. Team patches that sit on the inside hems are numbered “A03812” (Carr) and “A03823” (Allen), while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens. We should also note that the LOA for Carr erroneously states in the English text that the jersey is game-worn as opposed to issued.
