Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The 1960 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs featured the regular season champion Montreal Canadiens facing off against their chief rival in the final, the Toronto Maple Leafs, for the second straight season. While managing to take a game off the current Stanley Cup champions in the 1959 final, the Leafs came up short against the powerful Habs and all-time finals leading goal scorer Maurice Richard, losing four straight. Rocket Richard scored his 34th and last goal in the finals, a record that still stands today! On the eve of making history with their 5th straight Stanley Cup championship, we have a Game 3 program from the contest held on April 12th at MLG, with the visitors taking the victory 5-2. Featuring Leafs HOFer Bob Pulford on the cover, the 76-page program remains complete including the center line-up page, with Gump Worsley signing over his image in black marker on the fourth page. Exhibiting moderate handling, some wear is present along the spine, with a few small creases visible as well as a large vertical bend over the reverse.
