Much harder to locate then their Parkhurst counterparts – especially in pleasing condition, we have a pair of 1955-56 Quaker Oats cards both encapsulated and graded by Beckett, along with six Laval Dairy cards from 1952-53, with three different examples along with matching duplicates. Susceptible to damage as issued in cereal boxes/bags, the Quaker Oats BVG-graded cards include Gerry McNeil (#52) graded Very Good 3 and Jim Thomson (#11), in especially pleasing condition graded Excellent+ 5.5. The McNeil has nice eye-appeal and exhibits a few creases over both the front and reverse, with corner wear to the Thomson along with a small crease visible. The blank-backed Laval Dairy cards include two examples each for #50 Gilles Dube, #90 Bernie Lemonde and #95 Bob Leger. One of the Dube cards exhibits very light corner wear along with a faint wrinkle over the reverse, while the second card shows very light touches to a few corners, along with a slightly rough top edge over the reverse. Both of the Lemonde cards exhibit light corner wear, with a very faint and minor surface bend over the reverse on one of the cards. Lastly, both Leger cards also exhibit very light corner wear, with one example sporting a ding to the upper right corner and a slightly rough top edge over the reverse.
