Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A New England lawyer and the 48th Governor of Massachusetts, Calvin Coolidge was elected vice president of the United States in 1920. Succeeding to the presidency upon the sudden death of Warren G. Harding in 1923, Coolidge served as the 30th President of the United States, in office from August 2, 1923, to March 4, 1929. We have a signed calling card from the Vermont native. At approx 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”, “The White House, Washington” appears over the upper right, with Coolidge adding a beautiful thin and flowing black ink fountain pen signature, with just a bit of fading taking place. The card itself exhibits just a few faint blemishes, with a bit of paper loss over the reverse. Coolidge would pass away in 1933 at the age of 60. An LOA from JSA will accompany.
