A San Jose draft choice in 2004, goaltender Thomas Greiss spent the majority of his career in the AHL and Europe, with his NHL teams to include the Sharks, Coyotes, Islanders and Penguins. We have a signed and photo-matched blocker and glove combo used by the German while with Pittsburgh in 2014-15, his only season in Pennsylvania. Vaughn V6 2200 Pro models in Pens colours, “Greiss” is embroidered on each item with “#1 2014-15” handwritten, with Kay Whitmore also initialing each as acting goaltending supervisor for the NHL. Showing heavy use with numerous puck marks throughout the pocket section of the glove and over the face of the blocker, Greiss has signed each in black marker, with no issues for the signatures. For both the glove and blocker, Getty Image #459047168 from Nov 14, 2014, (Hockey Hall of Fame Game) has been matched to a number of marks on the front of the blocker and the interior of the glove. For just the glove, Getty Image #459118348 from Nov 14, has been matched to a number of marks on the interior of the glove. Finally, for the blocker, Getty Image #459047170, also from Nov 14, has been matched to a number of marks on the front of the blocker. Holograms from MeiGray have been affixed to each item, with matching LOAs to accompany.
