Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
From just his second season in the WHA where he secured 76 points in 74 games with the Houston Aeros, we have a signed stick used by Hall of Fame defenceman and five-time NHL All-Star Mark Howe, in 1974-75, specifically in an April 26th contest vs San Diego, in 1975. A Northland Custom Pro model with “M Howe” and a pattern number of “4141-1” stamped over the upper shaft, the original white tape is in place over the blade and shaft, with “4” handwritten over the handle. The striping accent in Aeros colours is intact, with nice use exhibited on the lumber, with a few puck marks to the blade and wear to the underside, with additional marks and red paint transfer to the shaft. Howe has signed over the upper shaft in ballpoint, with the signature covered in shellac.
