Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Cool Washington Capitals game-worn goalie equipment used by Jose Theodore features the southpaw netminder's blocker, glove and stick. The 2002 Hart and Vezina Trophy winner with Montreal, Jose used the goalie equipment in this collection during his stint with the Capitals from 2008-10. A Capitals hologram sticker has been applied to the inside cuff of Theo's right-hand trapper by Vaughn, with both the trapper and left-hand blocker in Capitals red, white and blue, with “Theodore” embroidered on each. Loads of game use on the pair in the form of black marks, with the padding adjacent to the index finger on the blocker sporting a customized team repair. We should also note that the blocker and glove are not a true matched pair. Battered Bauer Supreme ONE95 game-used goalie stick has Theo’s red grip tape wrap above the paddle, and his white tape jobs remain on the knob and the blade, though the latter has been gouged open in the middle of the bottom part of the front. The upper part of the paddle is cracked from side to side, though the stick remains intact and in one piece, with Theo’s blue marker autograph on the paddle.
