Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Hailing from the earlier days of the gridiron and somewhat difficult to locate in collectible condition, we have a desirable vintage football helmet produced during the latter half of the Roaring Twenties, possibly as late as the early-1930s. A Ken-Wel #752 hard shell model with leather dog ear flaps, the white exterior hard shell features crossed sewn leather sections with the interior sporting a canvas suspension system with circular leather center. The outer lower leather section with thick felt interior is finished in a deep brown, with the model and maker stamped in silver over the extended reverse. Currently void of its original chin strapping, the helmet shows light use, with rubbing and wear to the leather in spots, with just a few marks and abrasions to the hard shell.
