Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Compiling a .227 career batting average, Bill Voss saw action with five different MLB clubs throughout his time in the majors, including the White Sox, Angels and Cardinals. We have a circa late-1960s bat that saw use in the Glendale native’s hands. A Hillerich & Bradsby 125 signature model at 36”, the bat utilizes a flared handle, with the model “U1” stamped into the knob (same model as used by Roberto Clemente). With a bold and pronounced center brand and barrel stampings, the bat sports a V-shaped handle crack covered with tape, with heavy use/wear shown which includes dead wood over the reverse of the barrel along with visible streaks of red paint transfer.
