Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Making his way up the ranks playing NCAA Division I hockey, Adam Oates went undrafted, and despite not being selected originally, the Weston native carved out an exceptional career, completing his 19 NHL seasons with over 1,000 assists. Originating from the personal collection of superstar defenceman Ray Bourque, we have a Boston Bruins alternate captain’s jersey that was issued to and signed by Oates, and later presented to Bourque. A CCM label and size “52” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with a “09 93” date sticker added to the CCM label. Styled with the famous spoked-B team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with black-over-yellow tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate patches over each shoulder. Oates has signed between the reverse numbers in black marker, and the signature displays well. The team stamp is screened over the inside hem, with a signed LOA from Ray Bourque to accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
