Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A veteran of 19 NHL seasons, Adam Oates dressed for 7 different clubs, with appearances made at 5 NHL All-Star Games. We have a signed Bruins alternate captain’s third jersey that was worn by the Weston native in 1995-96, his fifth season in Beantown. With just a size “52” fly tag affixed to the collar, both CCM and NHL embroidered crests grace the reverse hem. Styled with a partially embroidered Bruins team crest, “12” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered black twill with white trim, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Oates has signed to the left of the team crest in black marker, with no issues for the signature. The team stamp is situated over the inner hem, and it denotes the garment as a “1st Set” example. Hailing from Ray Bourque’s personal collection, his signed LOA will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
The jersey shows nice use, with dark marks over the front and right sleeve and board burns over the left elbow. We should also note that the fight strap has been cut and removed.
