Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
An institution in Boston and one of the city’s favourite sons, Ray Bourque thrilled Beantown supporters for over 20 seasons, leaving an especially indelible mark on his adopted home. We have a collection of four signed jerseys, with each presented to Bourque by the respective club, with the possibility existing of having been worn in ceremonies. Included, we have a pair of Boston Celtic jerseys, with a white example from the late-1990s and a green jersey circa early-1990s, followed by a New England Patriots jersey from the late-1990s and a Boston Red Sox jersey from 1998. Each feature’s tackle twill numbers and identifiers, with “Bourque” over the upper reverse of each. Ray has signed the reverse of each in blue marker, with the signatures displaying well. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
We should note that a few of the jerseys show light wear from use (possibly in ceremonies), with some light staining over the lower reverse of the white Celtics jersey.
