Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Scoring just over a-point-a-game throughout the season, we have a “Three Star Award” trophy that was presented to superstar Ray Bourque as the “First Star” by the Bruins Radio Network, in 1985-86. At approx 15” in height and featuring a generic mounted player serving as finial over an approx 11” wide domed silver bowl, the bowl is mounted to a finished black wooden base, with the wider bottom tier approx 7 ¼” x 7 ¼”. A plaque with the particulars engraved has been affixed to the front of the base, including “Bruins Radio Network”, “Three Star Award”, “First Star” and “Ray Bourque – 1985-86”. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany this attractive award. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
The trophy displays nicely, with tarnishing over the silver bowl, with no issues for the mounted player. There is also some light wear to the wooden base.
