From his seventh-consecutive season of being selected for either the First or Second NHL All-Star team in 1985-86, we have this Elizabeth DuFresne Trophy that was awarded to superstar defenceman Ray Bourque for his status as the best player at Bruins home games. At approx 18” in height and featuring a generic mounted player serving as finial over an approx 11” wide domed silver bowl, the bowl is mounted to a finished wooden base, with the wider bottom tier approx 11 ½” x 11 ½”. A plaque with the particulars engraved has been affixed to the front of the base, including “The Elizabeth C. DuFresne Trophy”, “1985-86” and “Ray Bourque”. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany this attractive award. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
The trophy displays beautifully, with just light wear throughout including a few very minor and faint blemishes. There are also a few small scratches to the affixed plaque.
