Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Only the third player in NHL history to top the 1,100 assists plateau and the all-time assists leader for defenceman, Ray Bourque achieved the milestone during the 1999-00 season, on Dec 17, 1999, vs Atlanta. From his personal collection, we have the stick used by the iconic Hall of Fame member to secure his 1,100 assist. A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with “Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque” on the underside along with factory coding. The stick retains the original white tape over the shaved handle/knob, with the blade tape removed to facilitate the “1,100” inscription. A signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
The stick shows just light wear to the blade, with a few chips to the shaft and wear to the graphics.
