Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Currently sitting at the 11th spot for all-time points with 1,579, Ray Bourque netted his important milestone 1,000th point during his 13th NHL season in 1991-92, on Feb 29, 1992, vs the Washington Capitals. From his personal collection, we have the stick used by Bourque to secure his 1,000th point, and it’s been set within an attractive shadowbox display. At 13” x 68 ½”, the stick has been mounted on the left side, with a pair of gold-coloured plaques added – one listing the particulars along with a Bruins logo, the other, a copy of the Feb 29th game’s score sheet. The stick is a Sher-Wood PMP 7030 model, with “Bourque 77” factory graphics, along with the original white tape over the handle and black tape on the blade. With nice game use exhibited, there is factory coding on the lower portion of the stick, with the NHL striping accent intact. A signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
