Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

The last goaltender in NHL history to captain his squad when he proudly donned the “C” in 1948, Bill Durnan was especially dominant during his Hall of Fame career, winning six Vezina trophies in just seven NHL seasons. One of the harder Original Six-era rookies to secure, we have a pleasing copy of Durnan’s 1951 Berk Ross "Hit Parade of Champions" card (W-532-1), along with an equally desirable 1948 “Pep” cereal pin. Despite being off-center top-to-bottom, the card displays especially well, with clean surfaces over the front and reverse and no creases, with a black print dot to the left of his head and just minimal corner wear. The Pep cereal pin feature’s a well centered image with exceptional clarity, with just a few spots over the reverse noted for complete accuracy.
