Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

O-Pee-Chee's second of four World Hockey Association card sets leads in importance/value, with this assembly dominated by cardboard that shows very little handling or wear, with clean, clean surfaces among the attributes. The odd intermittent touched corner, usually the lower right corner, is to note, with the key Mark Howe rookie card affected by a dinged corner that sends it to EX+. Near mint-or-better cards abound but the centering throughout strikes the beholder; a majority of cards, including star cards, have images that are left of center, with our photos providing a good idea. Some rough edges are also to note but the set boasts a total of 40 cards which are considered RCs. The rookie card contingent is highlighted by the Howe brothers, Robbie Ftorek, John Garrett, Richard Brodeur, Nick Fotiu, Christer Abrahamsson, Veli-Pekka Ketola, Mike Rogers, Mark Napier and Larry Pleau, while Jacques Plante and two cards each of Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, Gerry Cheevers and Anders Hedberg head the star power. An unmarked checklist (NM (OC)) also carries some weight. Recalling a memorable time in hockey history, these will be fun for the new owner to sift through.
