Boasting numerous notable/popular rookie cards, including the cardboard debuts of six Hall of Famers, is O-Pee-Chee’s 1974-75 issue, with this assembly looking mighty fine indeed in nine-pocket pages. The high grade condition is confirmed upon pulling the key cards, with gorgeous crisp examples with no corner touches or a barely touched corner abounding. We can’t pull every card but it appears as though the majority are NM-MT or better, with likely dozens of MINT cards to be discovered. Some may only make it to NM or NM+, but overall, these are impressive. Our photos display the centering of the key cards (at times not always perfect). Rookie cards of Don Cherry, Scotty Bowman, Bob Gainey, Borje Salming and Lanny McDonald look to be NM-MT, similar to two of the three (all unmarked) checklists (one nice one is miscut on the back), Robinson, Lafleur, Orr All-Star (OC) and Davidson RC. Condition exceptions among the best two dozen-or-so include a couple of small light creases in Potvin RC, a back crease in Middleton RC, some edge dings in checklist #54 and some side-to-side indentations in Orr. The first four and last four cards have indentations or light warping from rubber bands having once been around them. Fantastic surfaces and unmarked team checklists are attributes to note. The large RC lineup totals 94(!) and also includes Shutt (NM), Resch, Clement, Shero, Herron, Larocque, Stoughton, Lysiak, Paiement, Dudley, Turnbull, Lambert and Vail.
