Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Sharing the ice for a total of four seasons, Gordie Howe and his son Mark would win a pair of back-to-back Avco Cup championships during their time with Houston in the WHA, with the duo playing for the Aeros from 1973-74, to and including 1976-77. We have a pair of signed sticks that were issued to the father and son team during their time together in Houston. Northland sticks, Gordie’s is a Pattern Made model with “Howe” over the shaft, while Mark’s is a Custom Pro, with “M. Howe” over the shaft. Each stick has been signed over the upper shaft in marker, with Gordie adding “In Friendship”. The signatures display well with no issues. Both sticks show age and storage wear, with the Mark Howe stick possibly used by someone in some fashion, as there is wear to the underside of the blade.
