Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A productive season with 35 regular-season wins registered, the Toronto Maple Leafs finished in second place in 1959-60, and after defeating Gordie Howe and the Red Wings in the semifinals, lost a hard fought final to the season’s first place finishers, the Montreal Canadiens. We have a framed display featuring a team-signed album page from the 1959-60 Leafs. At approx 5” x 6” (exposed), the off-white album page has been centered, with modern copies of 1959-60 Parkhurst hockey cards of various signing players gracing the perimeter. With a total of 21 signatures all in matching blue ballpoint including 10 HOF inductees, deceased HOF signers include superstars Tim Horton, Allan Stanley, Johnny Bower, Bert Olmstead, King Clancy and coach Punch Imlach. Framed to full dimensions of approx 22 ½” x 23”, the signatures display wonderfully including the Horton, with some tape residue around the perimeter.
The additional signers include HOF members Armstrong, Pulford, Duff and Mahovlich, along with Harris, Brewer, Stewart, Wilson, Ehman, Regan, Edmundson, Hampson, Reaume, and a few others.
