Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Captained by George Armstrong and current Stanley Cup champions, the Toronto Maple Leafs finished fourth in 1964-65, with Frank Mahovlich’s 51 points leading the team. We have a framed display featuring a team-signed album page from the 1964-65 Leafs. At approx 5 ½” x 7” (exposed), the beige album page has been centered, with modern copies of hockey cards of various signing players gracing the perimeter (the Clancy and Brewer cards are original). With a total of 12 signatures all in matching blue ballpoint including 7 HOF inductees, deceased HOF signers include superstars Terry Sawchuk, Allan Stanley, Johnny Bower, Andy Bathgate and coach King Clancy. Framed to full dimensions of approx 18” x 21 ½”, the signatures display wonderfully, including the large and bold Sawchuk example.
The additional signers include HOF members Armstrong, Pulford and Mahovlich, along with Douglas, Brewer, Shack and one other.
