Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Allowing one lucky patron to gain admission to the vaunted Madison Square Gardens to witness the New York Rangers in action, we have a large and seldom seen collection of 84 MSG ticket stubs from the 1950s to 1980s, with the bulk originating from contests during the 1970s. Highlighted by a pair of stubs from Ed Giacomin shutouts (Feb 22/67 NYR 1 – Det 0, Jan 3/73 NYR 3 – LA 0) along with a stub for HOF member Michel Goulet’s first NHL goal (Nov 10/79 NYR 5 – Que 4), there are also 8 playoffs stubs (2 from the quarterfinals in 1971, 2 from the quarterfinals and 1 from the semifinals in 1972 and 1 from the quarterfinals and 2 from the semifinals in 1973), with the full breakdown by decade; 1 stub from the 1950s; 8 stubs from the 1960s; 54 stubs from the 1970s; 21 stubs from the 1980s.
The majority of the stubs are in the 1 ¾” x 2” range give or take, with just expected wear present from handling including many with a rough-torn edge.
