Spanning the entire Original Six era, we have a highly desirable and rarely seen vintage ticket stub collection of 10, with each enabling the holder to witness the Boston Bruins at Boston Gardens. Highlighted by a first round Game 1 playoff ticket from 1943 that saw the Bruins defeat the Canadiens in overtime 5-4, the collection also consists of a single ticket stub from 1938-39 (Feb 28 Boston 6 - Montreal 2), a single stub from 1948-49 (Jan 16 Bos 3 – Chi 1), four stubs from 1953-54 (Oct 15 Bos 1 – Tor 4, Nov 26 Bos 5 – NYR 2, Feb 13 two stubs Bos 1 – NYR 0), a single stub from 1958-59 (Dec 21 Bos 0 – Mtl 5 Jacques Plante shutout) and a pair from 1967-68 (Nov 11 two stubs Bos 2 – Cal 1). The majority of the stubs are in the 1 ½” x 1 ½” range give or take and exhibit expected wear including a rough edge from being torn, with three stubs also having tape residue over the front.
