Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A diverse gathering of sought after items hailing from vintage premium sets, we have a neat collection of cards, stamps, coins and more, all originating from the 1960s and 1970s. First, we have a 1961-62 Shirriff Coins starter set, with 89 of the 120 coins present, followed by a complete 1965-66 Coca-Cola set (each 18-card team set remains attached as issued for a total of 108 cards) along with an additional 200+ loose cards. Next, we have an uncut sheet of 31 1970-71 Colgate Hockey Stamps including Howe, along with an additional 50 loose stamps, 66 1970-71 Dad's Cookies cards, 3 1970s Sporticatures iron-on transfers including Mikita, 33 1983-84 Esso hockey cards, 59 1983-84 Vachon hockey cards and more including 21 uncut 1982-83 Post cereal card sheets (336 cards total). The majority of the cards display well with light handling wear including the Coca-Cola uncut panels, with heavier wear to the loose Coke cards. The stamps also display well, with the odd blemish or mark over the front or reverse of the Shirriff coins. We should also add that tape residue is visible on each corner of the Sporticatures transfers.
