Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
One of the truly great stories that make up the rich history of the game, Ray Bourque devoted 21 seasons to the Boston Bruins, and despite leading a number of talented clubs, the Beantowners were never able to grasp a championship during his tenure. With the desire to hoist Lord Stanley’s grail before his career ended, Ray played his final season with Colorado, and was able to realize his dream, becoming a Stanley Cup champion during the final game of his HOF career. We have a trio of signed items from Ray’s time in Denver, with an Avalanche jersey, photo and puck. The jersey is a CCM “Vintage” model with “L” sizing, with tackle twill team crest and numbers, with “Bourque” across the nameplate in matching material. The superstar has signed the second reverse “7” in blue marker, and the signature is gorgeous. The 8” x 10” photo pictures Ray with Patrick Roy, and he’s signed over his image in blue marker, with no issues for the attractive scripting. Lastly, the InGlasCo puck has been signed in silver over the Aves team logo, with ray adding “Cup 2001” beneath. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
